DACStorE Information Day on 10.09.2024 at KIT

The Helmholtz project DACStorE hosted an information day on Direct Air Capture (DAC) on September 10, 2024, at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany.

DAC is a method of carbon dioxide removal (CDR) that helps achieve net-zero emission goals by compensating for unavoidable emissions.

It has gained significant financial support and technological advancements, aiming to reduce costs and energy consumption to make it widely feasible.

The DACStorE project explores and develops innovative DAC technologies, such as CO2 adsorbents, membrane-based systems, and electrochemical methods.

The event focused on the current status and advancements in DAC, specifically highlighting the DACStorE project's contributions. It targeted scientists, the public, decision-makers, and companies involved or interested in DAC. The program included expert presentations on DAC technologies and a poster session where scientists discussed their research.
